On the morning of April 26, Professor Shi Dan, Secretary of the Faculty Party Branch of the Department of Business Administration, College of Economics and Management, Huazhong Agricultural University, led teachers and students to visit Yafei Agricultural Science and Technology Park for on-site research and cooperation exchange with strong interest in modern agricultural technology and business management. The visit aimed to deepen university-enterprise cooperation, promote in-depth integration of disciplines and practice, jointly explore new paths for industry-university-research cooperation, and inject new vitality into the long-term development of both parties.

Mr. He Yafei, General Manager of Yafei Seed, warmly welcomed the delegation led by Secretary Shi and personally accompanied the visit. In front of the characteristic vegetable display shelves, Mr. He gave a detailed introduction to the company’s star products – Special Kale, Broccolini and other characteristic vegetables. These vegetables not only have unique tastes but also high nutritional value, and are deeply popular in the market. Mr. He also shared the planting techniques, nutritional value, deep processing directions and huge market potential of these vegetables.

Afterwards, the teachers and students followed Mr. He into the laboratory of Yafei Seed, where they learned in detail about the scientific research strength, future research directions and current progress of the science and technology park. In the park, mulberries and cherries were in the ripening season. The students joyfully participated in the picking activity and tasted the pure natural, healthy and sweet fruits, speaking highly of the achievements of Yafei Seed’s national-level ecological farm.

Next, the teachers and students visited the seed processing workshop and fresh produce processing workshop, where they learned the whole process of vegetable seeds from sowing to harvesting and the technical process of fresh vegetable preservation and processing. The students were full of curiosity and said that the visit was very rewarding, giving them a deeper understanding of the agricultural industry chain.After the visit, the two sides held a discussion in the conference room. Secretary Shi first spoke highly of the achievements made by Yafei Seed and fully affirmed Mr. He’s management philosophy and business strategy. She pointed out that she hoped both parties could explore more possibilities in future cooperation, especially in marketing and promotion. Secretary Shi proposed organizing students to carry out various activities such as innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, short video promotion, copywriting promotion, and science popularization volunteer services.
