With joyful songs we bid farewell to the old year, and with festive spirits we embrace the new spring! To summarize experiences and shortcomings in 2022, clarify the overall company plan for 2023, and commend outstanding employees in 2022, Wuhan Yafei Seed Co., Ltd. held the 2022 Annual Outstanding Commendation Conference during January 10–12, 2023.

The conference consisted of three parts: annual work summary report, outstanding commendation, and short video competition award ceremony.

Annual Work Summary Report

Hosted by Zhang Xian, Supervisor of the General Administration Department, the conference kicked off with department supervisors and all marketing staff delivering work summaries for 2022, as well as analyzing and planning work objectives, directions and goals for 2023.

Mr. He Yafei, General Manager, first thanked all staff for their hard work over the year. He stated that seeing everyone return safely, happy and healthy, was the best gift from God to Yafei Seed in 2023. He then summarized the highlights and shortcomings of 2022 work:

1. The company’s annual sales performance increased year-on-year.

2. A steady stream of competitive new varieties was launched.

3. Broccolini and Lacinato kale achieved breakthroughs in Harbin, Xi’an, Wuhan, Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Shanghai, Hangzhou and other markets.

4. Sales of classic varieties such as Yafei Wangwang and Lili hit new highs; sales of Yafei Songhua 100, the “New Top Champion”, set a record.

5. Old customers are like family, and new customers come attracted by reputation.

6. Some veteran employees, including Fan Tao, Yao Zhixin, Cheng Xiaoqin and Liao Jianqiao, took on key roles; new employees such as Zhang Xian, Deng Hang, Mei Jinqiang, Yan Yang and Zheng Yuanyuan were all eager to contribute.

7. The seedling nursery and fresh produce sectors were gradually deployed.

8. Post processes and performance appraisal were implemented in an orderly manner; work logs and weekly meetings improved steadily.

9. The quantity and quality of short videos on Douyin and Kuaishou gradually increased.

10. The company was awarded AAA Credit Enterprise by the China Seed Association, ranked among the Top 20 Vegetable Seed Enterprises in China, and promoted to Key Leading Enterprise in Agricultural Industrialization of Hubei Province. It received thoughtful care from leaders and made solid progress in projects.

Outstanding Commendation

The conference commended outstanding teams, outstanding employees, and winners of Contribution Award, Technology Award, Potential Award, Progress Award, Dedication Award and Newcomer Award emerged in 2022. By setting role models, the conference fully motivated employees and accelerated the company’s development goals.All participants congratulated the award-winning teams and individuals with warm applause.

Short Video Competition

A short video competition was held at the conference, with teams from the Marketing Department, Science Park and Administrative Staff competing in on-site filming and editing, fully mobilizing everyone’s initiative.Through joint efforts, three excellent works were presented.

The commendation conference was splendid and achieved outstanding results overall, despite minor imperfections. It enhanced team cohesion, improved learning and execution capabilities of all staff, and laid a solid foundation for follow-up work.

Children look forward to the New Year, while adults look forward to farming! Bosses should care about employees’ development daily and their income at year-end. Despite a difficult year and Mr. He Yafei’s low-key and thrifty style, all deserved year-end rituals were delivered, with income not lower than the industry average.

In the new year, all staff of Yafei Seed will, under the wise leadership of General Manager He Yafei, guidance of experts and support of partners, compose a more magnificent new chapter.
