From April 10 to 11, Jiang Xiexin, Vice President and Secretary-General of China Seed Association, and Zhao Shuai, Deputy Director of General Administration Department of China Seed Association, accompanied by Li Daolong, Secretary-General, Chen Zhi and Zhu Lanyun, Deputy Secretaries-General of Hubei Seed Association, visited Wuhan Yafei Agricultural Science and Technology Park and the office of Wuhan Yafei Seed Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'Yafei Seed') for investigation and inspection. On behalf of the Organizing Committee of China Seed Congress, they presented a 'Thank-you Letter for 2024 China Seed (Nanfan Silicon Valley) Congress' to Yafei Seed.

On the morning of April 9, Jiang Xiexin, together with Academician Zou Xuexiao and Academician Zhang Xianlong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Li Zongyou, Deputy Director of Hubei Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and other experts and leaders, visited the exhibition hall of the 41st Wuhan Seed Fair as part of the expert tour group. On the afternoon of April 10, accompanied by Li Daolong, Secretary-General, Chen Zhi and Zhu Lanyun, Deputy Secretaries-General of Hubei Seed Association, Jiang Xiexin paid an in-depth visit to Yafei Agricultural Science and Technology Park. Impressed by the orderly and standardized management of the park, he inspected a number of specialized, sophisticated and new high-quality varieties such as Yafei broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage, and tasted the exclusive, nutritious and healthy characteristic vegetables including Broccolini and Lacinato kale. Learning that Yafei Seed is among the Top 20 Credit Backbone Enterprises in China’s Vegetable Seed Industry, Jiang Xiexin spoke highly of the company’s efforts in addressing difficulties, highlighting advantages and tackling key problems. He noted that Yafei Seed undertakes the national joint research project on broccoli and has made great contributions to solving the 'bottleneck' problem of broccoli in China. He expressed confidence that Yafei Broccolini and Lacinato kale will enjoy broad market prospects in the future as two innovative high-quality varieties with strong market competitiveness.

On the morning of April 11, accompanied by Li Daolong, Secretary-General, and Chen Zhi, Deputy Secretary-General of Hubei Seed Association, Jiang Xiexin also visited the office of Yafei Seed and personally presented the 'Thank-you Letter for 2024 China Seed (Nanfan Silicon Valley) Congress' to the company. Jiang Xiexin pointed out that China Seed Congress is an important platform for China’s seed industry to share scientific research achievements and promote exchanges and integration, a key stage for serving the industry and displaying scientific and technological innovation achievements, and a major driving force for the revitalization of the national seed industry and rural revitalization. Yafei Seed has sponsored China Seed Congress for three consecutive years, making contributions not only to the successful holding of the congress but also to the revitalization of China’s seed industry.

During the investigation, Jiang Xiexin also held a forum with the core team of Yafei Seed. He stated that the spring of the seed industry has come thanks to the General Secretary’s important instructions on 'conducting research on key core technologies regarding germplasm resources and striving to win the battle for turning around the seed industry'.
