On the morning of June 3, teachers and students from Hubei Vocational College of Bio-Technology and the Rwanda Comprehensive Agricultural Development Seminar visited Yafei Agricultural Science and Technology Park for a fruitful tour, investigation and exchange. Mr. He Yafei, General Manager of Yafei Seed, warmly welcomed the visiting group and personally led the tour.

In the science and technology park, shelves were filled with various characteristic vegetables developed by Yafei Seed, featuring rich colors and diverse shapes, fully demonstrating the charm of agricultural diversity. The exhibition tables were lined with a wide variety of delicious fruits grown in the park. Meanwhile, certificates such as New Plant Variety Rights on display highlighted Yafei Seed’s outstanding achievements in scientific and technological innovation. The trainees from the Rwanda Seminar spoke highly of these vegetables and fruits, praising their freshness, distinctive features and superior quality.

The group then visited the park’s laboratory. Mr. He Yafei gave a detailed introduction to Yafei Seed’s current scientific research progress and capabilities. The advanced equipment and the rigorous working attitude of the researchers left a deep impression on the visitors.

Various fruit trees were also planted in the park, and the trainees excitedly picked and tasted fresh fruits. After that, the group visited the seed production greenhouses and trial planting demonstration bases to learn about the whole process from seed breeding to cultivation. At the artificial climate greenhouse and germplasm resource conservation library, the trainees expressed their admiration for Yafei Seed’s efforts in the conservation and utilization of germplasm resources.

After the tour, the two sides held a discussion in the conference room. Mr. He Yafei once again extended a warm welcome to the teachers and students, and gave a detailed introduction to Yafei Seed’s development history and business scope. As a high-end professional vegetable seed enterprise focusing on the integration of breeding, reproduction and promotion of cruciferous vegetables, Yafei Seed ranks among the top in Hubei’s vegetable seed industry and is also an outstanding private vegetable seed enterprise in China. It plays a pivotal role in segmented categories including cabbage, broccoli, Broccolini, Special Kale and cauliflower.

This investigation and exchange was not only a simple visit, but also an in-depth trilateral cooperation in agriculture among government, universities and enterprises between China and Rwanda. In the future, Hubei Vocational College of Bio-Technology and Wuhan Yafei Seed Co., Ltd. will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation to jointly contribute to the development of global agriculture.
